Lead in Drinking Water

Lead in drinking water can be a possible cause of many health problems. Even though the use of lead pipes and lead plumbing in houses has been prohibited in Switzerland for more than 100 years, contamination by this heavy metal can still occur – for example in older buildings where the water pipes may still be made of lead. Water containing lead should never be consumed under any circumstances. If you suspect lead in drinking water, you should also avoid using this water for cooking, washing clothes or doing the dishes.

➤ The water analysis Baby also enables the determination of lead levels in drinking water.
